Brand Identity Design for Chayhana Samarkand — Kosher Restaurant in Miami

For Chayhana Samarkand, a kosher Central Asian restaurant in Miami, WebHunter Studio developed a full brand identity built around a bold, memorable character — the heart of the entire visual concept.

The Challenge

The client came with a clear reference: a cartoon chef character they loved and wanted as the foundation of their brand. The task was to recreate and refine this character into a professional, versatile mascot that could work across all brand touchpoints — from signage to staff uniforms to packaging.

What We Delivered:

We developed a custom mascot logo based on the client’s reference — a expressive, slightly grumpy Uzbek chef in a red shirt, captured mid-motion in a cooking gesture. The character carries personality, cultural authenticity, and instant recognizability. It communicates what the restaurant is about without a single word.

The identity was applied across a full set of brand materials: outdoor illuminated signage (round lightbox), staff uniforms (red polo with embroidered logo), kraft paper packaging (takeaway bags), and a restaurant menu design with a matching visual style.

The color palette — deep red, cream, and black — was chosen to feel bold, warm, and appetite-stimulating, while staying consistent across print and digital formats.

Result: Chayhana Samarkand received a cohesive, character-driven brand identity that stands out in Miami’s competitive restaurant market and immediately communicates its Central Asian roots and kosher positioning.
